Twelve months of looking different

At the end of last year, Geo-Graphics were asked to design and deliver a new-look calendar for their long running client Andrew Muirhead.

The team of creative design consultants were given a brief by the well-known Scottish tanners with a view to taking a new design approach for the coming twelve months. Geo were quick to decide that the calendar should showcase the actual everyday processes of Andrew Muirhead, incorporating abstract pictures of machinery and coloured leathers.

Geo-Graphics MD George Thomson said: “It was very important for us to steer away from the typical ‘Scottish scenery’ calendars that dominate so many offices, so rather than using shots of Scottish landscapes we decided it would be beneficial for Andrew Muirhead to show the process of how they make their products.”


Of the company itself, George goes on to say: “Andrew Muirhead is one of the few Scottish companies today who still make all of their products in Scotland so we wanted to show this and to give the calendar a bit of meaningful intent.”

George knows all too well that nurturing home grown talents can benefit any project as it brings a fresh and enthusiastic approach. That is why for this project George drafted in Eilidh Grant, a newly qualified up and coming photographer and directed her to shoot various parts of the Andrew Muirhead factory.

The calendar has been extremely well received by Andrew Muirhead’s clients.
